Jeanneau’s Merry Fisher 1095 is all the boat you need – available this October
A brand new Merry Fisher can be yours in a few short months (normal waiting time is 1-2 years!)
French boat-builders Jeanneau is well-known for building high quality boats at alluring price points, and the Merry Fisher line of boats further cement this perception. Not only that, these boats are also widely known to have more internal room than competitors of equal length. This is great on paper, but even more remarkable in person. The Merry Fisher 1095 is the flagship of the range, and we have one arriving in October this year that is still available. This is a great chance to get one of the best all-rounders without the usual accompanying wait time.
Space. So much space.
Seriously, we don’t want to beat a dead horse here, so let’s quickly dive into this point. She has a length of 10.5 metres (34’5”) with a beam of 3.37 metres. Into this space the designers have managed to fit three private cabins, an enclosed saloon, and an actual useable sundeck. Not only that, there are walkways leading to the sundeck on both sides of the cockpit as well. If even more overnight space is needed, the double seats in the saloon can be folded down into a double bed for two. With the three cabins and the bed in the saloon, a total of 8 people can spend a night in the Merry Fisher 1095.
All of this, in a yacht of 10 metres, is almost mind-boggling.
A true SUV of the seas
Pop onboard through the starboard section of the platform (it juts out right next to the twin motors) and you’ll be greeted with a cockpit that is very much crafted around social cruising. There is fixed seating across the stern and port, with a short third leg in front of the fixed portion of the sliding wheelhouse door. Starboard side is kept clear to leave access of the transom door unencumbered. What’s more, the designers have cleverly put the aft seats on rails; when in use, the seats are right next the outboards, but when they need to be tilted out of the water, the seats can slide forwards to accommodate that. This is how you maximise space on a boat.
And just like how an SUV can perform multiple functions, angling is encouraged as there are a two rod holders here. More can be added too, and you can do so via our chandlery. The beautiful teak decking here is easily hosed-down, so sport fishers can have fun without worry.
The deck saloon also exhibits clever touches. Two double seats face each other across the dining table here, but the one that faces aft can be adjusted to face forwards too. As mentioned above, this seat can also be folded down, after the table has been lowered, to form an additional berth for two.
More comforts can be found at the nose of the boat, where a large sundeck is available. This means that there are 3 social areas on the MF1095 – the enclosed saloon, the sun lounge, and the sundeck.
She’s quite a performer as well
You’ll hear many reviewers say that Jeanneau’s yachts have good hulls, and it is true to the MF1095 too. Her hull is specifically designed for outboard performance, after all. She comes with twin Yamaha outboards with 300 hp each. These motors can be lifted out of the water, and this adds to their longevity.
This is one of the advantages of having outboard motors, which will save owners long term running costs.
Reviewers do not find her performance wanting. She planes at a surprisingly low speed and does not need full send to get there. Even so, she is a sensible boat. For a boat with outright performance, you should look at the Cap Camarat 9.0 WA or 12.5 WA. The Merry Fisher is one that is more suited to casual coastal cruises and lounging about in the sun as you enjoy the acreage on the boat.
We’ll conclude here. Jeanneau, with their many decades of experience, have managed to fit a lot of features into a boat that is less that 40-feet long. There are more we did not touch on too, like Jeanneau’s excellent fit-and-finish on their boats, and the extensive specifications list, which you will be able to have when you get in touch with us to register your interest.
