The founders of the company have done all the hard work so you don’t have to. This beer tap is supposed to create an ‘ultra dense, long-lasting foam head’ from any standard-sized beer can or bottle, to truly elevate the simple drinking experience. Its portability also means that the device can be moved around the yacht and does not have to be kept in the galley.

Garmin’s latest nautical smartwatch brings with it Bluechart g3 cartography, making it a standalone plotter right on your wrist. The smartwatch also gains a bit of extra space, with a larger 1.3-inch screen that is always turned on, while old features remain, like interfacing with Garmin chartplotters and other instrument data, as well as autopilot and on-board entertainment controls. Sure, smartwatches don’t have the same rich character as a mechanical nautical watch, but they are rich in utility.

This strange-looking hanger has a single purpose – to hang a wetsuit and all its accompanying companions like gloves and boots. The little hanger is designed to hold the items in such a way that the least amount of space is used which keeps the deck clear, and it holds the gear without harming them which extends their life.

Speaking of wetsuits, ZHIK is one of the best brands to have today, due to their focus on sustainability. Conventional neoprene uses a lot of energy to produce, and as it breaks down from use, the synthetic rubber will not biodegrade, causing the same problems as microplastics. ZHIK makes their ECO wetsuit range from plant-based materials as well as recycled plastics, which is a step forward from normal wetsuit production.
Yeti Drinkware
Image courtesy of yeti.comYeti is a brand that is needs little introduction, made famous by their flagship products; their large coolers will keep your drink cold for days. The brand’s Drinkware range is smaller, with items from mugs to jugs, and has features that make them hardy to resist the inevitable drops they will suffer, as well as a lid that will keep occupying liquid inside where it belongs. What’s more, the technology that made their coolers famous is also found in these smaller vessels.

This nifty little device is made by Hydro Wind Energy, and would be a great addition to have on any boat as a backup in case the main systems fail or an unforeseen circumstance renders the water on-board unpotable. This watermaker weighs in at a paltry 0.7 kg, and can produce 2 litres of fresh water per hour. It uses triple pre-filtration and a reverse osmosis membrane that can be replaced when it hits its rating of 18,000 litres of fresh water.
Mujjo touchscreen gloves
You don’t need us to tell you that pulling off and putting back on your gloves every time you need to use your phone is an absolutely wearisome and irritating thing to do. Moreover, packing gloves for a day out at sea is the smart thing to do, even in warmer climes like ours. These knitted gloves from Mujjo have black leather cuffs and anti-slip silicon grip dots on the palms, and can be used with all touchscreen surfaces.
