A great yacht from a historied boat builder

Those who know boats will instantly recognise the name. Cranchi is an Italian boat builder that started 150 years ago on the romantic shores of Lake Como. The company is famous for making highly desirable cruisers, and this Cranchi Atlantique 43, available for sale at USD390,000, is very much so as well.

She was first delivered in 2014, and right now is berthed nearby in Phuket, Thailand. Her Italian heritage is obvious in her swooping cockpit and the elegantly designed windows on the main deck, but she does still retain an air of friendliness at the same time.

A handsome, large swim deck welcomes you as you approach from the stern. It is laid out in wood for sure-footedness, and is complimented by a wet locker for added utility. The same flooring is replicated at the aft lounge area, and as these areas see high traffic, they are easily replaced when you want her to look her Sunday best.

All around the exterior are rails at easy reach as well. These will undoubtedly give inexperienced guests an added sense of security.

From the lounge, enter the cockpit via the large transom door and you’ll find the same warm motif replicated inside. Here guests will find a roomy, comfortable area that is just behind the twin seats of the lower helm station.

Here the pilot has access to a maximum speed of 33 knots from a pair of Volvo IPS 600 EVC/EC engines, each making 435hp.

Guests can then rest in the two staterooms available below decks, and timber is the material of choice for many a finish here as well. The owner’s berth features an island bed with ensuite bathroom and head, while the second berth has twin beds with an ensuite bathroom.

Access to the flybridge takes the form of small wooden steps that are complete with handrails. We have to say that they are designed to fit the overall look of the yacht very, very well. Up here, a helm station is replicated with twin seating. Behind it is a settee complete with a table, and it is serviced by a small but essential moulded wetbar.

When entertaining guests in the evening at the aft lounge area, the yacht can also add to the experience with its underwater night lights.

Yachts of her quality are a rare and very welcome find indeed in our part of the world. Should you wish to learn more about the Cranchi Atlantique 43, please do get in touch with us. Interested parties can find her full specification listed here.
