Discover the bold new entry into Pershing’s Generation X

The newly-launched Pershing 6X retains all the hallmarks known and loved from the Italian shipbuilder – power, technology, and luxury. She slots in comfortably between two existing yachts, the 7X and the 5X, and like any Pershing yacht, is created for those who love the excitement of piloting a fast cruiser out at sea.

When we say fast, we mean fast. She has a pair of MAN V12 engines capable of 1550hp, bringing her to a top speed of 48 knots and a cruising speed of 42 knots.

Designed to astound

The 6X is a spectacular result of the collaboration between Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee led by Mr. Piero Ferrari, the design firm headed by Fulvio De Simoni, and the Group’s Engineering Department. At 18.94m long and 4.8m wide (62’2” and 15’9”), she’s no small vessel even though she is the second smallest one currently in Pershing’s fleet.

She is unmistakably one of the Generation X yachts, with a distinctly predatory silhouette. Her profile is highly aerodynamic to achieve those remarkable speeds. Large glazed surfaces bring voluminous natural light into the cockpit – we particular enjoy the deeply raked side windows. There’s a large sunroof that opens over the dashboard too, so everyone in the cockpit can enjoy the sensation of the wind as well.

A large aft sun pad ensures maximum utility in the space in front, while the cockpit dining area features a carbon and teak table. The same wood is used to finish the deck too. Right behind the diner is a chaise lounge, thoughtfully designed with a reclining backrest.

Cutting-edge technology

The most important feature in the main deck has to be the new helm station. The dashboard features two 19-inch monitors, carbon fibre controls and an electro-hydraulic steering system. A joystick coupled with the surface drive is also available, which has advanced operating modes. The most notable is the ‘easy handling’ mode, which gives greater manoeuvrability in ports or restrictive waters. This is a great feature to have, especially in a yacht above 60 feet.

Room for more

The 6X can come with a two or three-room layout. For the latter she features owner, forward VIP and starboard guest cabins, along with three heads with separated showers. The other option will replace the guest cabin with a finely accoutred living space. In either, a crew cabin with a single bed and its own integrated bathroom can be accessed via the cockpit.
