Aggressive styling defines the Cruisers 447 Sport Sedan, a luxury-class cruising yacht whose spacious interior comes as a surprise in a boat this size. Perhaps that’s because her tiered cabin windows admit so much natural lighting into the salon – indeed, the 447’s cabin windows provide 360 degrees of visibility whether sitting or standing.
The split-level salon is arranged with a galley and dinette forward, a step above the aft salon with its facing settees, and an in-floor storage room. Note the sculptured salon overhead. There are two staterooms and two heads forward and below. The forward is the master and includes a queen island berth, while the full-beam guest stateroom aft has twin berths (that convert to a double), a sitting area, a washer/dryer space, and six opening ports.
There’s a staircase to the flybridge in the cockpit, and clever aft-facing seats in the transom overlook the extended swim platform. Built on a fully cored hull with more transom deadrise than most Cruiser models, the 447 rides on the same hull as the Rampage 45 Convertible, another boat built by parent company KCS International. Yanmar 480hp V-drive diesel cruise at 25-26 knots. Volvo 435hp IPS pod drives cruise at 30 knots.
