Graduates of these courses are awarded an International Certificate of Competency (ICC) — a globally recognized yacht/boat license that complies with UN resolutions and is accepted in many countries. This means that ICC holders are eligible to charter bareboat vessels internationally, as recognized by numerous charter companies and maritime authorities.

The Power Craft Driving Course (PCDC) in Malaysia is a structured program consisting of four modules. Participants must complete and pass all modules to be awarded the PCDC Certificate.
This certificate qualifies boaters to charter and operate self-drive (bareboat) boats across The Boat Shop Asia’s regional partner network. However, please note that bareboat chartering in Singapore still requires a valid Powered Pleasure Craft Driving License (PPCDL) issued locally.
